Artificial intelligence in action

If you are a sci-fi movie buff, you probably have seen a scene similar to the one described below or a variant of the same :-

(1) Against the protagonist's advice, some government agency endows near-human or super-human thinking capabilities to a robot; (2) Protagonist is shooed off for being against technology; (3) Armed with amazing intelligence, robot transforms into a megalomaniac bent upon self-preservation at the cost of mankind's existence; (4) Face-off between the robot and the protagonist occurs and (5) In the end, the protagonist wins, usually because of 'emotions' coming into play which somehow make humans superior to 'AI'.

Now imagine yourself to be in the shoes of this protagonist, playing a deadly game of survival with 'AI'.
