CXO positions - pinnacle of career progression

For those who are driven by the ambition to lead a commercial (for-profit) organization, there are many sources that claim to explain the pathway to the CXO positions. Joining this list, is an article that details out the results of an analysis carried out by LinkedIn - the networking site. This analysis looks at the career paths of approximately 459K persons who worked in management consultancy firms between 1990 and 2010 and eventually moved on to CXO positions in various organizations. It then goes on to spell out the career choices they made and the cumulative probability of all these choices in helping them to get to their current positions. Quite an interesting read indeed!
