Geo-tagging for accountability

Government schemes have historically been viewed with considerable amount of skepticism in India on account of the endemic corruption that prevented the intended beneficiaries from getting their dues. Not anymore! The Government of India recently achieved a milestone in transparency when they completed the geo-tagging of 10 million assets created under the MGNREGA (rural employment generation scheme).
