Our sedentary lifestyles have led to a lot of health hazards such as obesity and the diseases linked to it. Controlling our diet and exercising regularly are a sure-fire way of combating these health risks. However, as we all know - it is a lot more difficult to implement this in practice, especially the exercising part as it requires an active and sustained strenuous effort :-)
Therefore, simple remedies like 'walk 15000 steps a day and remain fit' carry a great appeal as they seem eminently doable. However, how effective is walking?
