Is your problem really the one you think it is?

I recently came across a very interesting article in the Harvard Business Review. Its central premise is that too often we are guilty of spurring ourselves into a problem solving mode, without being very clear about what the problem is. The article then goes on to provide a few techniques through which one can quickly reassess whether their understanding of the problem is the most relevant one. While I enjoyed the anecdotes mentioned therein, I could also identify with this central premise. So read this article (link given below), practice the few techniques of 'problem re-framing' and let me know the results thereof.
