Authored by Prasad Nikte from Mumbai, this book eloquently captures his experiences while walking for 75 days across approximately 1,000 kilometers from the Northern to the Southern tip of Maharashtra state in India, all along the edge of the plateau formed by the Sahyadri mountain range. An idea / fantasy which I entertained for many years, it was a pleasant surprise to stumble upon this book and to learn that someone actually did this! I knew right away then and there that this book had to be purchased and read. As a casual trekker, I was looking forward to learning a lot about the Sahyadri mountain range and its inhabitants - and the book did not disappoint.

In his own style, minus the use of flowery language, Prasad has very well described the highs and the lows of his trekking endeavour. I would highly recommend this book to anyone who enjoys trekking or has an affinity for the mountains.
