Recently ISRO successfully launched the final satellite in its quest to provide India with its own satellite navigation system. A landmark moment that would be when this navigation system, nicknamed NAVIC, will become operational! A spate of headline grabbing achievements from ISRO in the recent past, such as its lunar probe, Mangalyaan - the Mars orbiter and now the NAVIC, all have given the common citizenry plenty to cheer about. Hopefully the NAVIC will now live up to its potential and going a bit further, foster an interest in science & inspire many to take up career avenues in the same field. Go NAVIC go!

Given below is a link to an article that elaborates on this event.
