Operation Sindoor

In May 2025, the Indian government authorized its defense forces to conduct a calibrated military response titled 'Operation Sindoor'. This military operation was against the terrorist infrastructure that had a month before carried out attacks against unarmed civilians and military personnel. While the operation lasted only a few days, the way in which they were conducted very much reflected the modern era of fighting where a lot of previously championed offensive and defensive methodologies and tactics were upended. Importance of drones, integrated air defense systems, precision targeting to avoid collateral damage / casualties and growth in indigenously developed weaponry caught the world's attention!
