Real time tracking of commercial ships

A short while ago, I stumbled upon a writeup on the World Economic Forum's website that stated a website which shows real time tracking of all commercial ships on the high seas! While I have no idea how it would be of any benefit to a vast majority, it just seemed quirky enough to share with all of you :-)
