Sanskrit Subhashitamala - Pearls of wisdom

While in school I got introduced to the Sanskrit language. The language of the Gods as it is reverentially referred to, has a vast set of literature which unfortunately today risks being lost upon the current and future generations. A particular thing that comes to mind is the collective wisdom of the ages that has been encapsulated in the form of 'Subhashitas'. These are couplets / poetry verses, each of which elucidates upon a particular topic.
