The most cited cat - ever!

Google scholar is looked by many as a ready reference for evaluating the success and reliability of any person vis-a-vis their scholarly achievements in the domain of science. However, the chinks in its algorithms that rank scholars were exposed when Reese Richardson helped his cat 'Larry' get the title of most-cited scholar by publishing multiple fake papers filled with gibberish that contained cross-referenced citations to each other. 

This just serves as a reminder to not take anything that is found online as the gospel truth :-)
