For an automobile company to cheat on the mandatory emission testing performed on its cars is bad enough. To go further and tom-tom about the environmental friendliness of these very same cars is offensive to the extreme. And yet this is what the recent Volkswagen scandal has brought to light.

It is very ironic that all through this VW was extensively promoting with its environmentally friendly image with the 'Think Blue' campaign.
