What do people want when it comes to data privacy
ARTS & CULTURE
Recently came across this information nugget that given a choice, only 4% of the iPhone users in US are granting permissions for sites, apps etc to track their surfing habits and other activities performed on the mobile. This choice has now been offered with the launch of Apple's iOS version 14.5.
Just shows the extent to which people value their privacy. If technological workarounds are not found soon enough by those interested in accessing this type of users' data, then it will be interesting to see how long will free-for-use applications remain free! After all, when a something is offered for free one has to realise that upon enrolling to consume it, you agree to be the product.
